Who I am

For over 20 years I have led product across finance, HR, payroll and education software at Sage, Advanced, Kallidus, XCD and, most recently, IMP Software, where I built the product function from the ground up and ran it through sustained double digit growth. I am also a qualified accountant (FCCA), so I can talk to a CFO, a finance team or a board in their own language, not just to engineers.

Alongside my product career, I served for 14 years as a Royal Marines Reservist. Calm under pressure is a habit, not a slogan.

Current engagement, 2026 to present: leading founding-customer discovery for an early-stage B2B SaaS product, running discovery interviews, testing positioning and pricing directly with prospective customers, and shaping go-to-market strategy ahead of launch.
IMP Software, Head of Product, 2024 to 2026: built the product function from the ground up, sustained 90%+ retention and double digit revenue growth, launched a new Purchasing application with AI driven automation.
XCD HR, Head of Product, 2023 to 2024: joined a business where sales had stalled, stabilised the product function and restored delivery cadence and revenue without increasing headcount.
Kallidus, Head of Product, 2019 to 2022: grew the product function to twenty people, delivered 20%+ year on year growth, led post acquisition integration, and sat on the senior leadership team shaping group strategy.
WCBS, Product Director, 2017 to 2018: advised on a strategic pivot and partnership decision subsequently adopted by the business.
Sage and Advanced Computer Software, 2006 to 2017: led product and commercial teams of up to forty five people across £100M+ product lines, including Sage's first HR application and first Auto Enrolment module.
